Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mello mobile application ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The Service
Mello is a personal mood-tracking app. It lets you record daily moods and notes, review them on a calendar, view statistics, generate mood-pattern artwork, and optionally receive daily reminder notifications. The app works entirely offline and stores all data locally on your device.
2. Not Medical Advice
Mello is a self-reflection and journaling tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The moods, statistics, and patterns shown in the app are for personal insight only. If you are experiencing mental-health difficulties, please seek help from a qualified professional or a local emergency service.
3. Your Data and Responsibility
All data you create in Mello is stored only on your device. You are responsible for your device and for anything you choose to share or export from the app. Because we hold no copy of your data, we cannot recover it if your device is lost, reset, or the app is uninstalled. Consider exporting a CSV backup if your records matter to you.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except where permitted by law
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Redistribute or resell the app or any part of it
5. Intellectual Property
The app, including its design, artwork shapes, and code, is owned by the Mello developer and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Content you create (your moods and notes) belongs to you.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Mello developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the app.
8. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. These Terms remain in effect while you use the app.
